Earth Quiz enables you to improve your general knowledge.
Discover the greatest places on our earth.
This trivia game includes around 5700 questions in the following categories:
1. UNESCO World Heritage sites
2. Capital cities
3. Mountains
4. Sport events (Summer/Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, UEFA Football Cup, FIBA Basketball World Cup, Super Bowl, Cricket, Formula One, Indycar Series, Africa Cup of Nations)
5. Famous people (philosophers, musicians, great leaders, scientists, heroes, discoverers, celebrities, actors)
6. United States
7. Rivers
8. Volcanoes
9. Bridges
10. Airports
11. Corporate headquarters
12. Waters
13. Historic events
14. Waterfalls
15. Sights
16. Seaports
17. Mountain ranges
18. Tall buildings
19. Universities
Determine a desired location in Google Maps or choose the correct answer out of four choices.
Use hints to either reduce from four to two choices or to get 4 suggestions (displayed as ? on the map).
Take a joker to skip a question.
Learn more about the searched subject in Wikipedia.
At the end of your geographical question and answer session, the app will grade your responses.
You can earn up to 10 points per correct answer. If you use hints, the app subtracts a small number of points.
Each quiz result is tracked in a statistic record.
Compete against second player in duel mode.
Use the demo modes to learn and prepare for a quiz. The answers are automatically given after a short time frame.
Select quiz mode, difficulty level, play mode, and credits or number of questions in the preferences.
There you can also set a filter for a preferred category or region (Europe, Americas, Africa, or Asia Pacific).
Save up to three favorite settings by long button click on Fav1, Fav2 or Fav3.
Learn and prepare for a quiz by using the "Slideshow" feature or go on an virtual expedition. Here several locations are shown on the map. Once you tap the target flag information on the selected location is shown.
Quiz mode 'Map Search', 'Picture MC', 'Picture Search', '1 Question, 4 Pictures', 'Satellite Image', 'Online Demo', 'Duel', and 'Expedition' requires a fast internet connection. Quiz mode 'Multiple Choice' and 'Offline Demo' can also be played offline.
You can activate high image resolution within the settings menu. This increases data traffic.
